January musings.....

Well with the Redskins season over, and the Kings sucking beyond reason, I am already looking ahead to spring training. The A's have signed Jason Giambi to a one year deal. It's kind of bittersweet. I was a big Giambi fan during his initial 7 year run as an Athletic, and then the A's threw 90 million his way but he instead left to the Yankees because he said "I have a better chance winning a championship in NY" Well technically that may have been true, but from that day on I put a curse on the the Yankees as long as Giambi was there hoping they would never a championship with him there, and whadda ya know? It Worked. Hahaha, well not the "curse" so much, as the Yankees horrible management.

So now he is back which is cool, but he's not the same player he was in his prime. He should offer some pop in the middle of the lineup, and along with Holiday being signed, the A's should be significantly better then they were last season, which we won't bother to review.

The bad news is now that he is off the Yanks, the Giambi curse is lifted and the Yanks can go back to winning it all every other year or so....Booooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

I forgot to do an entry on New Years, so yeah happy new year to everyone. I sent off my app and resume to the State so hopefully I will get a few bites on that.

Got a cool new digital camera for Christmas, I've put it to some good use over the last couple of weeks.
